In December 2003, the Government of Canada released guidelines with respect to the posting of travel and hospitality expenses of senior executives of government departments and government agencies. In October 2005, guidelines were released for the disclosure of the awarding of Grants and Contributions.
As a Crown corporation, these directives do not apply to Enterprise Cape Breton Corporation (ECBC); however, in the interest of good governance and transparency, ECBC has voluntarily chosen to disclose both travel and hospitality expenses for its relevant executives and project information (including all types of the assistance) while respecting issues related to privacy and confidentiality.
